Prioritizing Field Measurement to Minimize Risk

Every detail matters in the design and build community. This is why we never take the Field Measurement phase of our proprietary, integrated process lightly. During this phase, the field data MetroWall project managers collect during the Field Measurement phase of our proprietary, integrated process is sent to our Congers, NY-based facility and is used by our production team to manufacture the systems for each glass wall project. Field measurements can have a massive impact on the success of a project and it’s why we consider it an important phase of our proprietary, integrated process. Here are three reasons why MetroWall prioritizes accurate field measurements.

  1. Structural Irregularities: Field measurements provide an opportunity to assess and address any structural irregularities or obstacles that may impact the installation of glass wall interiors. By identifying and accommodating these challenges early on, stakeholders can develop strategic solutions for a smoother installation process. As the saying goes, “Measure twice, cut once.”
  2. Customization and Design Precision: Building a custom space is an excellent way for landlords to secure long-term tenants, or for companies to create a unique space that reflects their values and culture. Especially for custom projects, our project manager, engineers, and production team work together to ensure the field data collected will meet design specifications, as well as make sure everything is installed to code.
  3. Avoiding Costly Revisions: Inaccurate measurements can lead to costly mistakes during installation. For example, if a field measurement is inaccurate this will result to parts being produced incorrectly and incorrect parts showing up to a job site. This can result in installation being set back and this impacts the overall timeline of a project. This is something we never want to happen. Can mistakes occur? Yes, but our team does everything we can to minimize errors during the field measurement phase and throughout installation to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.

Details matter and mean the difference between an unhappy client or a satisfied one. We always aim to exceed expectations, and field measurements are one of many ways we work to minimize risk, execute bold designs that elevate the human experience, and deliver frictionless project experience.
