Inside MetroWall: A Marketing Intern’s Perspective

My name is Brady Dransfield, and I was fortunate enough to intern with MetroWall’s marketing team this summer. I’m a rising sophomore at the University of Richmond studying business and leadership. Working with MetroWall has been an extremely rewarding experience, with each member of the team being incredibly welcoming and supportive. Before coming to MetroWall, I had limited knowledge of glass wall architecture and manufacturing. The design and installation of glass walls was something I had always taken for granted, never thinking about the processes behind them. After my first day, I was shocked by the number of nuances that go into selecting and producing glass interiors. The different glass types, acoustics, and styles of each product were all so unique from one another. When I first arrived at the office, I was shown the actual work that goes into developing, testing, and producing each MetroWall product. That hands-on experience helped orient me within the industry and gain a greater understanding of how exactly MetroWall can best position itself for success.

Throughout the summer, I collaborated with the marketing team to configure digital assets, develop social media content, and organize benchmark data. Beyond these collaborative projects, I was given the opportunity to make my own recommendations to MetroWall regarding its online presence. I was tasked with identifying which industry-specific sites MetroWall should collaborate with to best build its brand awareness. Through my research, I came to understand how to best reach potential clients by demonstrating the value MetroWall’s services can offer. I came to realize that potential clients aren’t only interested in the products a company can offer, but rather the company’s image and its industry position.

My Biggest Takeaway: Commitment to Standards

MetroWall’s unrelenting commitment to its brand identity was another aspect of the company that resonated with me. Whether the team was releasing a new post, hosting an event, or even uploading a picture online, everything reflected MetroWall’s commitment to making more possible. This attention to detail was highlighted when the marketing team visited a job site that was close to wrapping up. During the visit, a member of the team pointed out how a part of the trim still needed some details touched up. To me, these details seemed unnoticeable. However, industry professionals would have the eye to identify and understand the incomplete installation. The team emphasized the importance of precision and ensuring that MetroWall fulfills its promise of holding a high standard. It’s clear this idea is instilled in each member of the team, something that was inspiring to see as an intern. The standard each MetroWall employee holds themselves to is something I hope to maintain with teams I work with in the future.

My Favorite Part: Learning Beyond the Workplace

My time with MetroWall was not only limited to the company’s office space. I also had the opportunity to visit MetroWall’s showroom in Manhattan, an experience which was a highlight of the summer. Understanding how a company can utilize a space so effectively to build client relationships was extremely valuable. I was also able to experience an event MetroWall held for potential clients. Connecting with actual architects and understanding how they see the industry was eye-opening and helped elevate my understanding of how to effectively market to them. Outside of developing relationships with potential clients, the event was a great opportunity to see how a successful company culture and work environment is built.

Not only has MetroWall given me invaluable insights into an actual business’ strategy, but it has also given me tools to bolster my academics. At MetroWall, I’ve learned to always push the envelope and to never tolerate the status quo. That mindset is something I will apply to my classes by always striving to extract more from my studies, whether it be through research or the connections I make with my peers and professors. Not only will I implement these lessons in my coursework, but I will also incorporate them into my club positions to best market our organization’s objectives and the identity we wish to uphold. I’m grateful for my time at MetroWall and am excited to utilize the skills I’ve learned in the future!

It’s motivating to see a space take shape. In our latest case study, we cover the various project stages of the installation of this buildout near Union Square. Our HUSH Series delivered the sound privacy needed, while blending seamlessly with the other materials and systems in the space.

The Challenge

With a large, open floor plan, the end user needs ample meeting space. Not only did they require larger boardrooms and phone, booths, but they also needed small meeting rooms for one-on-ones, virtual calls, and for their R&D space. This meant the design team needed a system that could support both visual and sound privacy.

The Solution

With a 50 STC rating, our HUSH Series was selected. The double-glazed system met the sound privacy requirements. Plus the systems customizability allowed the design team to use a mix of hardware, film, and more throughout the space. For example, throughout the floor you can see a mix of systems with locking leversets, while others only require non-locking ladder pulls. And to offer additional privacy, some systems were outfitted with fluted privacy film.

The Result

The HUSH Series enabled the design team to deliver a modern aesthetic that aligned with the fresh, innovative spirit of the tech company. The glass interiors blended well with the other features and finishes throughout the space. They created a bright, open feel while delivering on the sound privacy requirements.

If your upcoming project requires you to strike a balance between sound privacy and natural light, we recommend reaching out to our team. We’re here to help you find the right solution for your project and execute your vision with the utmost precision. Delivering Acoustic Privacy in Open Office Designs

Open office design has transformed the modern workplace by encouraging collaboration, transparency, and flexibility. But over time, one major challenge has consistently surfaced: noise. Employees often report distractions caused by conversations, phone calls, virtual meetings, and general workplace activity. As a result, architects and designers are increasingly prioritizing sound control as a central workplace design strategy. The conversation is no longer about choosing between openness and privacy. For most industries, the workplace must support both.

The Challenge with Open Office Designs

Modern office environments need spaces where teams can collaborate freely while also providing areas for concentration, confidential discussions, and video conferencing. This balance has led to the growing demand for high-performance acoustic glass walls that maintain openness without sacrificing sound privacy.

Today’s high-performance acoustic glass systems can deliver strong sound control while preserving the transparency and daylight benefits that make open office environments attractive. Employees may move between collaborative sessions, focused work, and virtual meetings multiple times throughout the day. Acoustically rated meeting rooms, focus rooms, executive offices, and huddle spaces help create environments where employees can work productively without constant interruptions.

The Solution for Designing Open Office Designs

Architects and designers are also increasingly integrating acoustic planning earlier in the design process. Rather than treating sound control as an afterthought, many teams now view acoustics as essential to workplace success. Poor acoustic environments can negatively impact concentration, increase stress levels, and decrease employee satisfaction. In contrast, spaces designed with intentional sound management often feel calmer, more functional, and more comfortable to occupy.

At MetroWall, acoustic performance is central to how we approach modern interior environments. It’s one of the first things we ask our clients. And if acoustics is a non-negotiable, we recommend our ENDURE, HUSH, and DG Series, which are designed to help workplaces achieve openness, transparency, and collaboration without compromising sound privacy.

If you need premium glass wall systems to meet your acoustic requirements, reach out to our team and book a meeting today.

Supply Chain Resilience and Personalized Service

Project teams face increasing pressure to deliver complex commercial spaces on time and on budget, without compromise. From corporate headquarters to healthcare facilities to education institutions to government buildings, the success of a project often depends on the reliability of the partners involved.

While creating bold spaces remains a top priority, architects and designers are also evaluating how manufacturing decisions impact project schedules, risk management, and client satisfaction. One of the most effective ways to reduce uncertainty is by partnering with a US-based manufacturer.

Greater Control Over the Supply Chain

Over the past several years, global supply chain disruptions have highlighted the vulnerabilities associated with overseas manufacturing. Extended shipping times, port congestion and closures, material shortages, and more have created challenges that can threaten project schedules. Working with a domestic manufacturer, like MetroWall, offers greater control and visibility throughout the production, and buildout. Benefits include:

  • Shorter, more predictable lead times
  • Faster response to shifts in project timelines
  • Flexibility when challenges arise
  • Improved communication with stakeholders, as well as consistent site presence

For large-scale commercial projects, having a team that can tailor its approach to your project’s unique needs helps minimize risk and alleviate stress.

Faster Problem Solving When It Matters Most

Even the most thorough project plans encounter unexpected challenges. Design revisions, field conditions, procurement changes, and accelerated schedules can require quick decisions and immediate action. A US-based manufacturer can respond far more efficiently than suppliers operating across multiple time zones and continents. Whether it’s a design modification, a replacement component, or an adjustment to a delivery schedule, domestic manufacturing enables faster collaboration between architects, designers, contractors, and manufacturers. This responsiveness can be the difference between maintaining project momentum and experiencing costly delays.

Supporting Quality Through Direct Oversight

Quality assurance is critical for commercial interiors, particularly when projects involve custom solutions or complex installations. Domestic manufacturing often allows for more direct oversight of production processes, quality control standards, and material sourcing. This level of accountability helps ensure that products meet project specifications. For architects and designers, confidence in product quality translates into fewer surprises during installation and a smoother project delivery experience. This allows A&D professionals to focus on other projects or vendors who may need their attention.

Customer Service That Functions as a Project Resource

Beyond manufacturing capabilities, exceptional customer service remains one of the most valuable benefits of partnering with a US-based manufacturer. Projects require ongoing coordination and communication between multiple stakeholders and vendors, meaning architects and designers need more than a supplier. They need a partner who understands their project’s requirements.

When customer service teams are located close to the markets they serve, clients can expect:

  • Faster response times and easier collaboration
  • Access to knowledgeable technical experts like engineers and project managers
  • Streamlined project coordination
  • More personalized support throughout the project lifecycle

This level of engagement helps A&D professionals, as well as other stakeholders, make informed decisions and resolve issues before they become obstacles.

A Partner Invested in Long-Term Success

The relationship between architects, designers, and manufacturers extends beyond a single project. Trusted partnerships are built through reliability, communication, and consistent performance. Choosing a US-based manufacturer provides more opportunities for collaboration throughout specification, design development, procurement, installation, and post-occupancy support. The result is a stronger partnership focused on achieving project goals and delivering exceptional outcomes for current and future projects.

The MetroWall Difference

At MetroWall, we understand that every project is unique and that success depends on more than delivering a product. Our domestic manufacturing model allows us to provide the responsiveness, quality, and service that architects and designers need to navigate today’s complex construction environment.

By combining domestic manufacturing with dedicated project support, we help architect and design teams reduce risk, maintain schedules, and bring your design vision to life with confidence. Contact our teamhttps://metro-wall.com/contact/ to start collaborating.
